Brenda Williams Obituary

Mrs. Brenda Sue Segers Williams, 72, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at High Point Medical Center. She was born on June 28, 1947 in Davidson County to the late Wilton Jackson Segers and Mary Ruth Beck Segers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Williams. Brenda had a passion for crocheting and when she was able, she attended Love of God church in Thomasville.  She was a loving mother who was devoted to her family, especially loving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters, Angie Smith and husband Dean, and Wendy Stanley and husband Jeff, both of Thomasville; four grandchildren, Andrew Garrett and wife Hanna, Tiffany Johnson and husband Brandon, Jeffery Stanley, and Marenda Smith; two great-grandchildren, Ellie Garrett and Memphis Garrett; two sisters, Yvonne Rummage of Lexington, and Nancy Caveness and husband Richard of Asheboro; and many special cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at the JC Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 3:00 PM with Rev Jimmy Garrett officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville on Monday.
