Albert Lee (Dobby) Yarborough, Jr.

Mr. Albert Lee “Dobby” Yarborough, Jr., 68, of Thomasville, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Atrium Health Lexington Medical Center.  He was born on January 27, 1957 in Davidson County, NC to Albert Lee Yarborough, Sr. and Ellen Ruth Gobble Yarborough Hooker.  He worked as a plant supervisor for 28 years for Prelude Company (Cone Mills) in High Point, NC and 13 years for Rubber Mill in Liberty, NC.  He loved golf and deer hunting.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved both Cale Yarborough and Dale Earnhardt.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his half-brother, Pete Gobble; and his best friend and canine companion, Colby.

On August 1, 1987, he married, Elizabeth Ann Stephens, who survives of the home; also surviving is his daughter, Danielle Leeann Yarborough of the home; his brother, James Craig Yarborough of Whitsett, NC; his sister, Faye Yarborough Ridge and husband Tim of Lexington; his granddaughter, Callie Ann Noah; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 4:00 PM at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev.
