Mrs. Alma Clodfelter Peele, 90, a resident of Kernersville passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Hospice Home at High Point.
Alma was born October 12, 1930 a daughter of the late Jerry H. Clodfelter, Sr. and the late Bessie Venable Clodfelter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Randy Peele, sisters, Ethel Clodfelter Parks, Eva Clodfelter Johnson, brothers, Jerry H. Clodfelter, Jr., Hoke A. Fritts, Jr., Vance Clodfelter and Auman Clodfelter.
Alma grew up in the residence of Sanford and Mary Jane Craven and Hoke and Jessie Fritts. She worked for Quality Oil Company in Winston-Salem and retired with thirty years of service. Alma was a life-time member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. On August 12, 1950 she married James Sidney Peele who preceded her in death on March 12, 2021.
Surviving is her daughter, Ann Peele Everhart and husband Larry of Lexington and granddaughter Kayla Everhart Smith and husband Daniel also of Lexington.
A private service will be held at a later date. There will not be a formal visitation. J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Winston-Salem (Wallburg Community) is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Alma’s memory may be sent to Shady Grove UMC General Fund, 167 Shady Grove Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107 or to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
