Obituary
Angela “Sissy” Rene Ramsey Whitaker, 50, a life-long resident of Thomasville, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, NC. She was born on February 28, 1973, in Davidson County to Reggie Ramsey and Barbara Carlton Love. Angela was of the Baptist faith and worked with her husband in upholstery for automotive interiors. She really loved spending time with her grandbabies. Angela enjoyed fishing and going to the beach. She was a people person and would help anybody. Angela will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Angela was preceded in death by her son, Corey Hunt; a sister, Tina Ramsey; and her Granny Carlton.
Left to cherish Angela’s memory are her husband Steven Lewallen of the home; a daughter, Amber Ramsey and fiancé Stephen Batten of Thomasville; her father, Reggie Ramsey and wife Lois of Thomasville; her mother, Barbara Carlton Love of Thomasville; a brother, Gabriel Kinley and wife Crystal of Thomasville; a sister, Stacey Kinley and partner Kevin of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Madilynn Batten and Austin Batten.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the JC Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.
