Annie Lois Maner Tysinger, 102, a life-long resident of Thomasville, passed away Sunday morning, March 1, 2026, at Pine Ridge Health and Rehabilitation, surrounded by her family. Annie was born April 17, 1923, in Davidson County to the late Floyd Maner and Annie Belle Meredith Maner. She graduated from Fair Grove School – the 1st class to have a 12th grade year and she worked many years in the textile industry, while raising her children, and later in the furniture industry. Annie was a faithful and active member of Prospect Methodist Church and was the oldest living member. She loved going to the Shear Madness beauty shop every two weeks to get pampered, which usually included a piece of cake while she was under the dryer. Annie enjoyed bus trips with her husband, Jim, during their retirement years and she also liked to crochet and knit in her spare time – practically every baby she knew has one of her baby blankets. She was a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister and helped shape many lives during her years and she will be dearly missed.
On May 17, 1947, Annie married James “Jim” Franklin Tysinger, Jr. and they enjoyed 54 years as husband and wife, before his passing in February 2006.
In addition to her parents and her dear husband Jim, Annie was preceded in death by her four siblings, Wilbur Maner, John Maner, Juanita Maner Gray and Russell Maner.
Surviving is her son, Terry Tysinger and wife Debra of Southmont; her daughter, Judy Tysinger of the home; a grandson, Jamey Tysinger; two great-grandchildren, Cole Tysinger and Carley Tysinger (Spencer); several nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
