Arthur Lee Tate Obituary

Mr. Arthur Lee Tate, 67, a resident of Trinity, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 at his home. He was born on September 30, 1954 in High Point to the late Troy Tate and Delma Pell Tate. Arthur loved peddling at flea markets and wheeling/dealing with people. He enjoyed shooting pool, hanging out with buddies on his hill, and especially loved spending time with his daughter. Even though he lived in Trinity, he always felt at home in Mt. Airy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Judy Tate, and half-brother, Ronnie Tate.

Surviving are his three daughters, Tonia Harrison and husband Dean of Lexington, Aftan Wall and husband Jason of Denton, and Brandi Camp and husband Dustin of Asheboro; seven grandchildren, Callie Harrison Whitley and husband Tyler, Daniel Harrison, Owen Harrison, Logan Combs, Alexis Camp, Braxton Camp, and Kynslee Camp; two great-grandchildren, Jovie Dae Whitley, and Sawyer Ryan Whitley; one sister, Debbie Wall and husband Richard of Glenola; one half-sister, Robin Boone and husband Brian of Thomasville; one brother, Ray Tate of Trinity; and two half-brothers, Virgil Tate and Wayne Tate; and special cousin/caregiver, James Cumby.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Silver Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Lexington with Rev. William Allision officiating. Arthur will lie-in-state at the JC Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville on Thursday afternoon from 12:00 to 6:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM till 2:00 PM for anyone to come by and pay their respects.
