Ashley Jarvis went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday August 6th, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family as she bid farewell to this world of sorrow.

Ashley was born November 15th, 1993 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of Rev. Terry D. Newman and Laura L. Newman. She was welcomed into this world by her five sisters, Ginny, Heather (Josh) Peck, Stephanie (Chad) DeWitt, Heidi (Isaac) Clark, Katie (Josh) Ranke.

At the young age of 2 Ashley and the family moved to Zanesville, Ohio. She attended and graduated from Zanesville High School and obtained her Associate degree in Early Childhood Education from Zane State College. Ashley used her degree and her love for children in various Early Childhood Education classrooms.

On a trip to North Carolina Ashley met the love of her life, Philip Thomas Jarvis. It was love at first sight and on June 8th, 2013, they joined their hearts and hands in holy matrimony. God blessed this union with two wonderful children, Ashlyn Brooke and Thomas Camden. The children became the center of their lives.

Ashley was a part of the Free Pilgrim Church in Thomasville, N.C. Here she used her God-given talents to teach in the children’s worship ministry. She was loved greatly by her church family and will be sorely missed in the congregation.

Ashley is survived by her loving husband, wonderful children as well as her parents, sisters, and brothers-in-laws. She will also be missed by her in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Jarvis, her brother-in-law Steven (Janielle) Jarvis and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends and co-workers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 4:00 PM at J. C. Green & Sons Chapel, 122 W. Main St. Thomasville, NC 27360. with Rev. Steven Manley officiating. The interment will follow at Free Pilgrim Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
