Mrs. Audrey Jane Hedrick Sechrest, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Hinkle Hospice Home. She was born to the late Hamet Raymond Hedrick, Sr. and Sue Kathleen Lohr Hedrick on June 17, 1935 in Elizabethtown, NC. Also preceding her in death are two sons, Mark and Steve Sechrest; infant sister, Amerylis Hedrick; three adult sisters, Violet Atkinson, Jaqueline Chappell, and Peggy Wilson; two brothers, Hamet Raymond Hedrick, Jr. and Delano Lee Hedrick; one grandson, John Patrick Neville; one great-grandson, Jacob Matthew Sechrest. Mrs. Sechrest was married on February 11, 1951 to Lank J. Sechrest who survives of the home. She was a member of Archdale Pilgrim Holiness Church. She was a homemaker most of her life and loved raising her children and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.
Also surviving are three daughters, Cheryl Ann Miller and husband Ed of Thomasville, Kay Lynn Sechrest of Butler, KY, and Patricia Faye Neville and husband John of New Richmond, OH; two sons, Richard Wayne Sechrest of Winston Salem and Wesley Martin Sechrest and wife Misty of Thomasville; two sisters, Nancy Sue Beck of Lexington and Judith Ann Conrad and husband Larry of Lexington; one brother, Benny Clark Hedrick and wife Debra of High Point; 15 grandchildren, Tiffany, Jessica, Matt, Alix, Megan, Kris, Daniel, Mark, Kevin, Jennifer, Kayla, Emily, Alisha, Erica, and Johnathan; 15 great grandchildren, Eva, Gabe, Salem, Madison, Liam, Karissa, Anna, Aria, Tray, Calvin, Eli, Oliver, Amadeus, Josh, and T. J.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Heath Church with Rev. Dan Downing, Rev. Dan Parker, Rev. Edward Lecates and Rev. Derald Hunt Officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service in the church sanctuary beginning at 12:30 PM on Wednesday the day of the service. The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
