Aurelia (Peep) Mennette Taylor Hampton, 79, of Thomasville passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 at Pine Ridge Health and Rehab. Aurelia was born September 7, 1945 in Jacksonville, Florida to Newell Douglas Taylor and Margaret Everhart Taylor. She was a faithful member of Fair Grove Church, where, for many years she served as a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. She worked numerous years at Baker Furniture. Aurelia was an avid Carolina Tar Heels and Atlanta Braves fan. Her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family and loving on her fur baby, Peanut. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Leo Hampton on September 6, 2017.

Surviving are her two sons, Chad Hampton and wife Deena, Brad Hampton and wife Tina, all of Thomasville; five grandchildren, Christopher Hampton and wife Lindsay, Andrew Hampton and wife Katie, Sydney Parham and husband Logan, Brayden Hampton (Claudia Hamilton), and Sophie Hampton; four great-grandchildren, Aiden, Nora, Emma, and Raylynn. She also leaves behind her beloved fur baby, Peanut.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Fair Grove Church Cemetery- 138 Fairgrove Church Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360 with Jane Baity officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
