Mr. B.J. “Jerry” Livingston, 79, of Thomasville, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 11, 1942 in Loris, South Carolina to the late Willie Livingston and Maggie Thompson Livingston. He worked 47 years at Thomasville Furniture as a furniture repairman and retired from Plant A in 2004. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He had a love for all things Elvis Presley and he enjoyed gardening in his younger years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Coleman Livingston; a sister; and several brothers.
Surviving are his one son, Jason Livingston and wife April; two daughters, Sandra Livingston Hanlon and husband Hugh, and Tammy Lynn Livingston; three sisters, Earlene, Judy, and Charlie; one brother, Ricky; four grandchildren, Zachary Livingston and wife Tiffany, Madison Hanlon, Lauren Hanlon, and Allison Wilson and husband Jordan; great-grandson, Tucker Livingston; and a great-granddaughter on the way.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the JC Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Huey Turner officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville.
