Barbara Ann Allred Aron, age 86, of the Wallburg Community passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2026 while at her home and surrounded by her family. She was born on July 8, 1939 in Davidson County to the late Clyde and Flora Loflin Allred. Barbara has lived in this area most of her life and was a dedicated member of Wallburg Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, she enjoyed her work for Hospice in Lexington, NC. She loved doing work at church, reading, and spending time with the grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Page Aron; her brothers Hollis and Phillip and an infant brother; and a son-in-law, Jason Combs and best friend and roommate, Jacquelyn Jenkins.
Surviving to cherish her memory is son, Todd Aron and wife Robin of Winston-Salem; daughter, Kimberly Combs; five grandchildren, Jessica Wilson (Derek), Ragan Aron (Kelsey), Kelsey Thomas (Tyler), Landon Merritt, Devin Kendricks (Kimberly); two great-grandchildren, Lily Aron, and Ellis Wilson.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Wallburg Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Bandon Wolfe officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall, 5341 Wallburg Road, Winston-Salem NC, 27107. Memorial gifts may be directed to the church at the same address.
