Barbara Jean Cranford Swaim, 84, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at her residence surrounded by family.  She was born on May 18, 1942, in Forsyth County to the late Acie and Agnes Hailey Cranford. Barbara was a member of Hasty Baptist Church and retired from Josten’s Printing. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, gambling, bowling, and watching the Game Show Network.  Barbara loved her family and was proud of each of them.  She spent lots of time attending ballgames and band performances of her grandchildren. Barbara has a special affection for her late dog, Muffin.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Swaim; grandson, Austin Swaim; and son-in-law, Stuart Faulk.

She is survived by her three children, Teresa Swaim of Shalotte, NC, Gary Swaim (Kristi) of High Point, Ricky Swaim (Serinady) of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Jack Cranford of Chesapeake, VA; eleven grandchildren, Ricky Swaim, Grayson Swaim, Allison Newell, Matthew Newell, Gary Swaim, Jr., Haley Swaim, Christopher Swaim, Taylor Knopf, Madison Rowe, Abbey Ward-Minor, and Brittani Swaim; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 22, 2026, at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Wallburg with Rev. Daniel Pittman officiating.  The family will receive friends on Monday prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. A private interment will follow at a later date.
