Mr. Barnham (Junior) Johnson, Jr., 83, of Thomasville passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at his residence with his loving family by his side. Junior was born April 10, 1936 in Robeson County to the late Barnham Johnson, Sr. and Jessie Johnson. He was a faithful member of Christian Cathedral in Thomasville. Junior worked many years at Thomas Built Buses, and after retirement from there, he worked at Wal- Mart in Thomasville. Working on small engines always made him happy. He received great joy from traveling to Florida and the Beach. Going out to eat always brought a smile to his face, he enjoyed a good meal. Junior was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend; he will be greatly missed. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Johnson; one sister, Pauline Johnson; one brother, Robert Johnson.

Surviving is his loving wife Betty Smith Johnson of the home; his four children, Ricky of Trinity, Ronald and Donna of Greensboro, Kathy and Donald of Thomasville, Barney and Shelia of Thomasville, Jonathan and Jennifer of Monroe; two brothers, Earl Johnson and wife Helen of Lumberton and Bobby Johnson of Morganton, three sisters, Betty Barns of Lumberton, Priscella Honeycutt of Lumberton, Janice Lovette of Illinois, Barbara Johnson of Winston Salem; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Christian Cathedral in Thomasville with Rev. Adam Dillon officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to Hospice of Randolph County at 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
