Benjamin "Ben" Gray Livengood

September 7, 1988 ~ August 25, 2023 (age 34) 34 Years Old

Benjamin “Ben” Gray Livengood went to be with His Lord and Savior on August 25, 2023. Ben was born on September 7th, 1988. He was the son of Steve and Kim Livengood and grew up, along with his sister Stephanie, in Thomasville, NC and later in Concord, NC. He attended East Davidson High School, before later graduating from Concord High School. Ben received his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from UNC Charlotte and worked in construction management with AMH.

It was during that time in Charlotte, that Ben met the love of his life, Katie Jordan. They married in 2010 and have two precious kids, Ellie and Daniel. Ben truly loved all of his family, but that love was especially seen in how he loved Katie and his kids. He was an incredible husband and father and loved taking his family on adventures and showing them the world through his eyes. He made life fun for everyone, saw the best in everyone, and encouraged and supported everyone that he loved. He was smart, witty, funny, and adventurous. Ben had so many interests—he lived life to the fullest. He was a hiker, an artist, a musician, a photographer, a sportsman, and an amazing skateboarder. It was through many of these interests that he made so many friendships. Ben had a knack for sharing his adventures with you. His most common phrase, even from childhood, was “watch this.”

The word that sums him up most is love. He loved God and he loved people. In fact, Ben truly loved everyone and everyone loved him. He loved everyone just the way they were. He had an incredible way of bringing people together. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Ben is survived by his wife Katie Livengood, his children Ellie Livengood and Daniel Livengood, his parents Steve and Kim Livengood, his sister Stephanie Cross (Caleb), Grandparents Jack “Grandaddy Jack” Clodfelter and Carolyn “Grammy” Livengood, Ben’s Aunt Victoria “Aunt Vic” Livengood and husband Scott ”Uncle Scott” Hester, Katie’s parents John and Diane Jordan, Katie’s sister Becca (Sonny) Powell and Katie’s brother Todd Jordan, many other family members who were very close to Ben and close friends who were really “family”.
