Bertha Mae (Allen) Myers

Mrs. Bertha Mae Allen Myers, 86, a resident of Davidson County, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born on March 21, 1939 in Jesse, West Virginia to her parents, the late Helen Bledsoe Allen and Powell Allen. Bertha worked and retired from BrassCraft in Thomasville after several years of work. When she was able, she enjoyed travelling with her family and sewing quilts and crocheting. One of her biggest joys in life was making her family happy and making her home the best it could be. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant son, James Randell Myers; her sister, Juanita Carothers; and three brothers, Daniel “Boone” Allen, Robert Allen, and Johnny Allen.

Surviving is her husband of almost 63 years, Johnnie Randell Myers of the home; her daughter, Melinda Myers of Thomasville; one sister, Diane “Sissy” Altizer and husband Goerge of Jesse, WV; her “grand-cat”, Diva; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7th, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the JC Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Pastor Ottis Collins officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville.
