Beth (Cox) McSwain

Beth Cox McSwain, 63, of Thomasville passed away Tuesday morning, October 21, 2025 surrounded by her family.

Beth was born June 19, 1962 to the late Virgil Cox and Barbara York Cox in Guilford County. She worked for years in the accounting department of Thayer Coggins Furniture of High Point. Beth loved adventure, traveling with family and friends to the beach and the mountains. Her talent for cooking and enjoyment of a good glass of wine brought her joy. She was a hard worker, a cherished friend, wife of 34 years, and a loving mother who will be greatly missed.  

In addition to her parents, Beth was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Cox.

Left to cherish her memory are her spouse and best friend, Mike McSwain of Thomasville; two loving sons, Erik McSwain and David McSwain; sisters, Tina Anderson of North Myrtle Beach, Crystal Nixon of Winston-Salem; a brother, Bruce Cox of Trinity; special nieces, Nikki Nixon and Scry Nixon.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 3:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Dr. Richard Auten officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM.
