Betty Jean (Gobble) Hiatt

Mrs. Betty Gobble Hiatt, 90, of Thomasville passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center, following complications from Covid-19.

Betty was born on August 16, 1930 to the late Banks Gobble and Mozelle Wagner Gobble in Davidson County. She graduated as salutatorian from Midway School. Betty was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church in Thomasville. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.

Surviving are her husband of 70 years, William Hiatt of the home; two children, Sharon Miller and husband John of Apex, Brian Hiatt and wife Julie of Concord; two sisters, Jewel Nicholson and husband Eddie of Kure Beach, Brenda Zimmerman and husband Phil of Arcadia; four grandchildren, Heather Miller, Jeremy Miller and wife Melissa, Andrew Hiatt and wife Kathleen, Erin Hiatt; three great grandchildren, Bryson, Chase, and Bella Miller.

Due to Covid-19, a private family service will be held. Friends may sign the guestbook at the J.C. Green and Sons funeral home in Thomasville on Saturday from 12:00 to 6:00 PM.
