Betty Jean (Solomon) Proctor

Mrs. Betty Jean Proctor, 87, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Charlotte Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Betty was born on September 19, 1932 to the late Minor Lee Solomon and Leona Thompson Solomon in Guilford County. She worked as a proof reader for local newspapers for many years, and was a member of First Wesleyan Church in High Point. Betty was a loving lady, who enjoyed the simple things of life. She will be remembered for her faith in her Savior. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Gilbert Proctor; father of her children, Henry Ellis Hepler.

Surviving are her two children, Ellen Stone and husband Dale Meyer of Morganton, Andy (Lee) Hepler and wife Radonna of Salisbury; two step-daughters, Donna Carden and husband Craig of Trinity, Cindy Beard and husband Tim of Kernersville; a brother, Larry Solomon and wife Vigermina Vega of Miami, FL; a sister, Evelyn Elizabeth Solomon of Archdale; six grandchildren, Jason Michael Stone, Amanda Jacquelyn Stone, Athena Marie Hepler, Anastasia Mae Hepler, Cathrine Elizabeth Hepler, Ryan Osborne; numerous step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Scott Faw officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at the funeral home.
