Betty Lou (Tullock) Sheets Obituary

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7.
Betty Lou Tullock Sheets went to her eternal home to live with her Savior, Jesus, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.  Wherever Betty went, she shared her love for Jesus and the gospel. Betty was born on July 19, 1941, to the late James Eli and Bessie Odell Tullock.  She worked in housekeeping at Baptist Hospital for over 19 years where she met her love, Neil C. Sheets. They were wed at the hospital chapel.  Betty loved her Jesus, her family and her church, Berean Baptist, where she served faithfully for over 35 years. Health permitting, Betty loved singing in her church choir, reading her bible, praying for others and playing games. She could beat you playing bingo, dominoes or Uno, without even trying.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers; and three sisters.
Cherishing her memory are her children: Beverly Plummer (Kirby), Daniel Bryant (Shirley), Sherry Landreth (Ben), and Angela New (Gino); grandchildren: Ronnie Plummer (Stephanie), and Phillip Plummer (Mandy); great-grandchildren, Chayce Plummer, Kerrington Plummer (Ryan), Autumn Fish (Tyler), and Justin Plummer (Haidenn); great-great grandchildren, Brixton and Gigi; and niece, Brenda Kerper, who Betty loved like a daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Berean Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Baity officiating.  A private interment will follow at another date.  The family will receive friends Friday prior to the service at the church beginning at 12:00 PM.
Special thanks to the entire Yadkin Nursing Care Center staff for the love and dignity and care they showed for our Mom.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Berean Baptist Church, 4135 Thomasville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
If you would like to honor Betty's homegoing, it would be much appreciated to wear bright colors, as they were her favorite.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
