Betty (Harrison) Snider

Betty Charlene Harrison Snider, 91, a resident of Archdale, passed away at Piney Grove Nursing Center in Kernersville, Sunday afternoon, September 28, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 10, 1933 in Davidson County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Walter Harrison. Betty graduated from Thomasville City Schools in 1952 and attended High Point College in 1958. She taught in Davidson, Randolph, Guilford, and Thomasville school systems, leaving as a child care worker in 2018. Betty was also employed by Winn-Dixie and K-Mart in High Point. On November 26, 1958, Betty married Jack Wallace Snider and they enjoyed 21 years together as husband and wife before his passing in 1979. Betty was a loving mother and grandmother to her family and will be dearly missed. 

In addition to her parents and her husband, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Louann Snider; seven siblings, Moriel Chisom, Cornelia Crotts, Lula Mae Clemmons, Frances Koonts, Inez Miller, James Harrison, and Thomas Harrison.

Betty is survived by two sons, James Alan Snider and wife, Lisa of Archdale, Harold Wesley Snider and wife Amy of Asheboro; four grandchildren, Jessica Cox and husband Lucas, Brad Snider and wife Kim, Phillip Snider, Will Snider and wife Erin; seven great-grandchildren, Maggie Cox, Jaxon Snider, Paislee Snider, Ford Snider, Dallas Snider, Everly Snider, Scarlett Snider, Josiah McBee. 

The family will greet friends Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the JC Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Church in Thomasville with Rev. Roland Cavanaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
