Betty Jones Creed

Betty Jones Creed of Thomasville, N.C. died October 28,2025. Betty was born May 9, 1930 in High Point, N.C. to William Edward Jones and Ester Eugenia (Jean) Burton Jones. On October 20, 1956, she married John (JC) Creed who passed away July 24, 2014.

Betty is survived by her son David Creed and wife Susan of Edenton, NC, grandson John Creed (Skylar) of Edenton, NC, granddaughter Margaret Creed Thompson (Robert) of Windsor, NC, three great-grandsons, Fitz, Hayes and Matthew, and her sister Nan Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Paul Jones, sisters Margaret Mandel and Edna Worrell.

Betty was a member of Carolina Memorial Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be held at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point, NC on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tim Landreth officiating.  Mrs. Creed will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until the hour of the graveside service.  Mrs. Creed will lie in state at the funeral home on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM for members of the community to pay their respects.  The family will greet friends on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Betty’s residence on Ball Park Road.
