My precious, Bill, “Billy Ray Reece”, entered his Heavenly home on Monday, June 30, 2025, old and full of years. He lived his life fully and with purpose and finished his course here on Earth. He is survived by me, his wife, Evelyn Chandler Reece, and three children: Dreama Reece Ujevich, Brian Reece and wife Roxanne, and Randall Reece, his sister Helen Reece Elberson and husband Bill, and four granddaughters: Brianna Nicole Reece, Kathryn Brooke Ujevich, Erin Elizabeth Reece, and Emily Grace Ujevich. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie W Reece and Sally Trotter Reece, his two brothers, Hubert Reece and Charles “Buddy” Reece, his sister Joyce White, and his two sons, Michael Ray Reece and Robert Dean Reece.
Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time gardening, hunting, and fishing, but most of all, he loved doing home and foreign mission work, serving with the Baptist men to repair houses for those who endured catastrophic events. On the foreign mission field, accompanied by me in Togo, West Africa, Bill built ponds to retain water for the dry season, constructed bridges, and helped to create wells for safe water access. He also traveled to Poland to assist in building a church there.
At the age of 70, he attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and graduated as the oldest in his class of about 4,000. Bill was an active member of his church, Faith, Healing, and Worship Center in Sophia, North Carolina. He loved the Lord and enjoyed praising Him through song.
My precious Bill was and is the love of my life, but I know I will see him again.
