Billy Lee Boles, Sr. Obituary

Mr. Billy Lee Boles, Sr., 75 of Denton passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at his home. Billy was born January 16, 1947 in Davidson County to the late William Odell Boles, Sr. and Dorothy Hall Surratt. Billy was a member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church. Billy served his country in the United States Army from 1966-1968. He worked over 40 years as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service. Billy had a wonderful sense of humor that will be missed by many. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Ingram Boles on March 31, 2022; two sisters, Elizabeth Tate and Dottie Boles; three brothers, William Thomas Boles, Sr., Joe Don Boles, Sr, and Harold Ray Boles; daughter-in-law, Tammy Boles.

Surviving is his son, Billy Lee Boles, Jr. of Linwood; one brother, William “Rusty” Odell Boles, Jr. and wife Linda, of Florida; one granddaughter, Logan Kirkus and husband Brock of Lexington; and great-grandson, Barrett Kirkus.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 12:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Dr. E Keith Carroll officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 11:00-12:00 PM.
