Bobby Young Obituary

Mr. Bobby Nease Young, 80, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Thomasville Medical Center. He was born on November 23, 1940 in Guilford County to the late Barry N. Young and Mary Allman Young. Bobby was owner and operator of Bobby Young Construction and on June 29, 1962 he married Mary “Karen” Freeman Young. He was a longtime member of Pleasant Grover UMC in Thomasville where he served on the Trustee Committee, as an Usher, and worked with the youth group. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary “Karen” Young, and three sisters, Evelyn Wingard, Rena Savage, and Ann Harris.

Surviving are his two sons, Kevin Young and wife Melissa of Thomasville and Keith Young and wife Sheilah of Wallburg; one granddaughter, Madison Young; one sister, Sue Y. Shaw and husband, Jimmy of Florida; and loving dogs, Gracie and Sally.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Pleasant Grove UMC in Thomasville. Memorials may be directed to Pleasant Grove UMC, PO Box 1049, Thomasville, NC 27360. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com
