Life Reflections
A Journey Begins….
“Let not your heart be troubled; Neither let it be afraid; these are the words of assurance that the Lord has said; Let him be your comfort; Let him be your friend; Let him walk beside you from beginning to end.”
A Journey Begins….
Mr. Bobby Brian Gordon was born March 26, 1967 in Thomasville, NC. On Sunday, April 26, 2026, an angel welcomed him home and said, “suffer no more you are now at peace.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby George Gordon and Elaine Baxter Gordon; a nephew, Ki’Shaun Payne; and a sister-in-law, Carleen K. Gordon.
Bobby was a 1985 graduate of Thomasville High School. Upon graduation, he proudly served three years in The United States Army. Following his military service, he built a career in the construction and asphalt industries, and also worked as a skilled plumber following in his father’s footsteps. He also had a passion for flowers, which he as well, took from his mother. He cherished time spent outdoors. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially his well-known love for potato salad and much time spent at his brother Anthony’s house.
He leaves to cherish his memories his siblings, Anthony Gordon of Thomasville, Alecia Gordon of Thomasville, and Tonya (Andre) Palmer of Greensboro; four nieces, Kendra Stevenson, Deidre Gordon-Hunter, Tiffani Palmer, and Moengaroa Gordon-Hunter; three nephews, Davonte’ Gordon-Hunter, Tyrez Gordon, and Andre Palmer, Jr.; a goddaughter, Patricia Baxter, whom he loved like his very own; a special friend, Mary Alford of 17 years; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Celebrating a life well lived will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 122 West Main Street, Thomasville, NC.
