Brenda (Gail) (Jarvis) Bowman

Mrs. Brenda (Gail) Bowman, 82, a resident of Winston-Salem went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday September 30, 2025, at Kate B Reynolds Home with her family by her side.  She was born on April 26, 1943, to the late Charlie F Jarvis Sr. and Agnes Cope Jarvis, in Winston-Salem.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Bowman, three sisters, Shelby Foster, Joanne Ziglar, Ruby Brendle and one brother Charlie Jarvis Jr.

Surviving are 2 sons, Kevin Bowman (wife, Lori) of Winston-Salem, Chad Bowman (wife, Teresa) of Mission Viejo, California and also her 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Emily, Abbigail and Lani Bowman who she loved dearly.  She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Gail dearly loved her Lord and faithfully served as a member of Vernon Forest and Crestview for many years. She cherished every moment spent with her four grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Granny.” Gail also enjoyed cooking and working on crossword puzzles. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside memorial will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, October 4th at 11:00 am with Reverend Ottis Hurst officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trellis Supportive Care (Hospice) 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
