Mrs. Brenda Jane Rutledge Hamilton, 78 of Thomasville passed away peacefully at Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington on Sunday September 13, 2020. Brenda was born December 15, 1941 to the late Luke Rutledge and Nannie Ester Kiser in Rockingham County. She was a member of Christian Cathedral. Brenda was a stay at home mom and wife for most of her life; her family brought her great joy. Brenda was very talented with ceramic work and enjoyed collecting dolls. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Cayton.

Surviving is her loving husband of 59 years, Robert Earl Hamilton of the home; one son, Danny Earl Hamilton and wife Kim of Advance; one daughter, Sheree Frye and husband Bobby of Pinnacle; four grandchildren, Brandie, Daniel, Summer, and Starr; she also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, JJ, Hailey, Emily, Aubree and Nola.
