Brenda Lou Naylor Livengood, 79, of the Wallburg Community passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 while at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on September 8, 1946 in Forsyth County, a daughter of the late James Franklin and Agnes Adams Naylor, Sr. Brenda was a faithful 45-year member of Samaritan Baptist Church. She was retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System where she served as Dietary Director. Brenda loved traveling across the country with her late husband, Robert Lee Livengood. She enjoyed all arts and crafts, especially crocheting and quilting, and was an avid reader. Brenda loved to cook and experiment with different recipes. Her favorite musical artist was Dolly Parton. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Naylor.
Surviving is her daughter, Linda Arnder (James) of Pilot Mountain; grandson, John Hardy of Pilot Mountain; granddaughter, Krystal Hardy (Justin Graves) of Jamestown; and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Raegan Graves.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Samaritan Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Smith officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Wallburg Chapel, 10301 N. NC Hwy 109, Winston-Salem.
