Brenda Hiatt Zenker

Mrs. Brenda Hiatt Zenker, 76, of Thomasville, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Atrium Health High Point Medical Center.  She was born on April 26, 1949 in Davidson County, Thomasville, NC to Charles Warren Hiatt and Doris Spainhour Hiatt.  She graduated from Ledford High School and retired from AT&T, formerly Western Electric, after 30+ years of service.  After retirement, she worked for several years at Origins and the YMCA in Marietta, GA.  Brenda was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church and had a deep love for people and the Lord.  She was known for her warmth, kindness, and genuine care for others, and she especially cherished her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents as well as several aunts and uncles.

On January 7, 1978, she married Ronald Henry (Ron) Zenker, who survives of Thomasville; also surviving is her daughter, Brandi Zenker of Thomasville; her sister, Gail Aderhold and husband Doug of Wallburg; several aunts and uncles, whom she loved, Mary Frances Johnson, Peggy Shuler, Bud Shuler, and William Hiatt; and several cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary at Mt. Pleasant Church with Pastor Chris Clontz officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  No formal visitation will be held.  Brenda will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home, 10301 North N.C. Highway 109, Winston-Salem, NC until taken to the church on Friday, where Brenda will lie in state from 10:00 AM until the service hour.  Memorials may be directed to Mt.
