C.R. Turner Obituary
Clifford “C.R.” Reid Turner, Jr., 86, of Piedmont Crossing passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
C.R. was born on November 18, 1934 to the late Clifford Reid Turner, Sr. and Vallie Byerly Turner. He married Jewetta Grubb on March 1, 1951. He was a member of Carolina Memorial Baptist Church in Thomasville. C. R. spent his life in the furniture business and was co-owner of TRS Furniture in Thomasville prior to his retirement. In addition to his parents, C.R. was preceded in death by his brother Wayne Turner; a sister, Janice Kelly.
Surviving is his loving wife of 70 years, Jewetta Grubb Turner of the home; a daughter, Rhonda Sikowitz and husband Mark of Vero Beach, FL; a sister, Sylvia Wyrick of Thomasville; sister-in-law, Arlene Turner of Thomasville.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Tim Miller and Rev. Tim Landreth officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. Mr. Turner will lie in repose on Monday from 1:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home in Thomasville.
