Carolyn Boger Marshall, age 88, formerly of Wallburg, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, December 27, 2025 while at her home. She was born on November 8, 1937 in Davie County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Paul and Lilly Johnson Boger. Carolyn was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ. She worked in banking at various locations throughout her career. Carolyn was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Marshall; daughter, Jennifer Elaine Smith; sister, Faye Revis; and brother, Mickey Boger.
Surviving is a daughter, Annette Dixon of Morganton; son, Barry Dale Phillips and wife Eva Sharon of Winston-Salem; brother, Edward Boger of Advance; sister, Gail Boles of Mocksville; seven grandchildren, Jessica Shropshire, Mattthew Hill, Joel Hill, Nicholas Wilson, Lauren Phipps, Noah Smith, and Robin McCraw; and four great-grandchildren, Jayde Hill, Jaiden Shropshire, Layton Shropshire, and Desiree Ward.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Bethany United Church of Christ with Pastor Ted Wilkinson officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church, 1066 Bethany Church Road, Winston-Salem.
