Carolyn Marie (Barnhill) McNeer

Carolyn Marie Barnhill McNeer, 62, a resident of Buncombe County, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 21, 2025 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.  Carolyn was born January 24, 1963, in Gloucester County, NJ, to the late Carlton Edgar Barnhill and Eleanor Moore Barnhill and was a former resident of Thomasville, NC. Carolyn worked in numerous areas of the transportation industry for many years, but her main focus was being a mother and caring for her family.  She enjoyed planting flowers and working in the garden.  Carolyn loved being in the mountains, where she made her home for the past fifteen plus years.   

Carolyn is survived by her two sons, Jonathan and wife Brittany of Georgia, Bill and wife Gerri of South Carolina; her daughter, Brandy McNeer of North Carolina; her life partner, William “Will” Brady of the home; her brother, David Barnhill and wife Michelle; five grandchildren, Hannah, Everly, Wesley, Caleb, Preston; a great-granddaughter, Ava; her fur-babies, Bella and Keekers.  Carolyn will be miss by everyone who knew her. 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, 401 West Holly Hill Road, Thomasville, NC 27360.  The family will greet friends on Friday evening, May 30, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J.C.
