Obituary
Mr. Carroll “Wayne” Barnes, 62, of Thomasville passed away Thursday morning, August 31, 2023 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.
Wayne was born September 23, 1960 to the late Tommy and Patrica Barnes in Davidson County. He served his country in the United States Army. Wayne worked as a truck driver for many years and enjoyed being on the water fishing.
Surviving are his fiancé, Jennifer Lawson of the home; daughter, Amanda Barnes Moll and husband David; four sisters, Rhonda Jones, Mary “Marty” Thompson, Angel Smith, Sheril Britt; two beloved grandchildren, Augustus and Ryleigh.
A memorial service will be held Monday, September 4, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Bro. Daniel Hicks officiating. Full military honors and visitation will follow the service.
Memorials may be given to the veteran’s organization of the donor’s choice.
