Carroll Lamberth Wells

Mr. Carroll Lamberth Wells, age 80, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 7, 2024, while at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.  He was born on December 20, 1943, in Person County to the late Ellis Maynard and Alice Reeves Wells.  Mr. Wells was a retired manager of Kmart and a retired postal carrier with the U.S. Postal Service.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was of the Baptist Faith.  He loved to fish and watch baseball, being an avid fan of the New York Yankee’s and the Atlanta Braves. Mr. Wells was a 1967 graduate of East Carolina University.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey James Wells and Thomas Carroll Wells.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Linda Wells of the home; son, Michael Wells and wife Shannon of Canton, Georgia; brother, Dwight Wells and wife Melissa of Burlington; sister, Christine Bristow and husband Doug of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren, Abigail Wells, Paxton Wells, Brooklynn Wells, Gavin Wells, and Hayden Wells; daughter-in-law, Holly Wells of Land o’ Lakes, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Lebanon Church Cemetery, 455 Cunnigham Road, Semora, NC with Rev. David Abernathy and son, Michael Wells officiating. Military Honors will be presented by the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends following the service.
