Charles Loman Obituary

Mr. Charles “Darin” Loman, 57, a resident of High Point, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.  He was born August 3, 1968, in Guilford County to Peggy Swink Loman and the late Reverend Charles Harvey Loman, Sr.  

Darin went to Southwest Guilford High School and was on the wrestling team.  He enjoyed collecting nautical items, especially sailboats and underwater pictures for his room.  Darin especially loved cookouts with his family and drinking his sweet tea - he even learned how to make it himself.  Darin enjoyed going to Sunset beach every year.  He liked to watch the grandkids and younger family members play and always enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his father, Darin is preceded in death by his nephew, Brandon Medford.

Darin is survived by his devoted mother, Peggy Swink Loman of the home; his daughter, Jessica Loman Guynn; two grandchildren, Ava Guynn and Asher Gordy; his brother, Charles Loman, Jr.; two sisters, Lisa Childress (Wayne) and Julie Loman; several aunts & uncles; five nieces and nephews, Adam Nunn, Christa Evans, Chesley Loman, Sandy Medford, Charles “Trey” Loman, III; several great-nieces & nephews.  Darin will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville, with Reverend Roger Watts, officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.  The family will greet friends on Monday night from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or The American Mental Health Association 2461 Eisenhower Avenue, Suite 300, Alexandria, VA 22314.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
