Mr. Charles “Edward” Yountz, 77, a resident of Thomasville, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020 in Hospice Home at High Point. Mr. Yountz was born in Forsyth County to the late Lester and Tecoria Fulk Yountz on April 3, 1943. He had a passion for restoring classic cars and enjoyed driving them everywhere he went. Mr. Yountz enjoyed eating at Terry House for breakfast and also at the Tville Diner. He loved going to various car shows and cruise-in’s. In addition to his parents, Mr. Yountz was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy.
Mr. Yountz is survived by his daughters, Ronda Yountz Fania and husband Steve of Myrtle Beach, SC, Cindy Yountz Cain of Hickory, and Tonya Yountz Kinney of Lexington; a brother, Billy Yountz of California; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 11:00AM in the JC Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Pastor Michael Bowers officiating. Interment will follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. Yountz will lie in state from 1-6 Tuesday afternoon for anyone who would like to come pay their respects. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
