Charlotte Faye Green

Charlotte Faye Green, 78, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away November 26, 2022 at home surrounded by family. 

Faye was born May 9, 1944 in Talladega, Alabama to the late Robert Kenneth Ervin and Dorothy Mims Ervin. She is survived by sisters Joan Burton of High Point, NC and Brenda Ervin of Goldsboro, NC. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Antel Sr. and a daughter, Kristi Brinson. 

Surviving are her sons, Ken (Mary) and Mike (Emily) Green, both of Myrtle Beach, SC, and daughter, Deborah Johnson (Steve) of Wake Forest, NC. Six grandchildren, Caroline, Michael, Catherine, Anna Kate, Claire, and Jack Green.

Faye graduated with honors from Mt Airy High School in 1962 and again with honors from Guilford College in 1965. Faye retired in 2005 from Thomasville City Schools and moved to the coast to enjoy retirement with her family. She loved to travel, play cards, spend time with her grandchildren, and her beloved dog Bailey. 

Faye was a beautiful soul who personified a teacher's heart, always displaying kindness and grace. We will always miss her sweet smile. 

A memorial service will be held at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville N.C. on December 6, 2022 at 7 PM. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 5:30-7 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com
