Christopher (Chris) H. Buckner, Sr.

Christopher (Chris) Hiram Buckner, Sr., 51, a resident of Winston-Salem, passed away February 11, 2021.

A lifelong resident of Winston-Salem Chris was born September 11, 1969 a son of the late Jimmie Lee Buckner and Bernice Morrison Buckner. Chris worked in the plumbing business, enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his granddaughters. Chris attended Gospel Light Baptist Church.

Surviving is his mother, Bernice M. Leonard of Thomasville, a son, Christopher Hiram Buckner, Jr. of Winston-Salem, granddaughters, Braylin Buckner, Gracyn Buckner; a brother, Jimmie, two sisters, Kimberly and Jennifer (Chris); daughter-in-law, Kaitlyn Brim; nieces and nephews, Blake, Kaitlin, Kevin, Christopher, Cierra, Keilyn and Kynleigh; aunts, Thelma Pemberton, Polly Warren; uncle, Junior Morrison; and numerous cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Winston-Salem (Wallburg) with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating.
