On Tuesday, September 13th, Clyde Marshall Everhart Jr. passed away peacefully at his Thomasville home. He was 94 years old.
Marshall was born June 7th, 1928 in Thomasville, NC to Clyde Marshall Everhart Sr. and Ocie Marie Sullivan.
After his time serving as a medic in the Army, he spent time working in the insurance business, followed by the service station, the oil business, and finally selling Kawasaki motorcycles. He worked until he was 92.
He will be remembered for his love of Atlanta Braves baseball, NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt, and for his time spent at the motocross track. He loved riding trains and was able to travel to many places around the world but always made his way back to his home in Thomasville.
Marshall married Francis Marie Hornaday and was blessed with five children.
He is survived by his brother James and his sister Elizabeth “Tudy.” Also, by his sons, Marshall Lee Everhart, and Danny Watson, his daughter Marchelle Marie Everhart; as well as four grandchildren: Zachary Ryan Everhart, Holly Lea Everhart, Madison Nicole Manson, and Joseph Benzi Lee Everhart and four great grandchildren.
Marshall was preceded in death by his wife, Francis Marie Everhart, his brother Robert, his sister Mildred, and his sons Michael Phillip Everhart and Jeff Watson.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 16th at Liberty Baptist Church in Thomasville. The family will greet friends following the graveside service. There will be no formal visitation or viewing. Online condolences may be given to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
