Colton Brown

Colton Brown, age 22, left this earth far too soon on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, the results of a tragic auto accident.  He was born on October 1, 1999 in Harrisonburg, Virginia, the beloved son of Michele Jett Brown and Richard Allen Brown. Born and raised in Harrisonburg the family later moved to Winston-Salem where he graduated Glenn High School and attended Forsyth Technical Community College.  Colton was an avid lover of animals, fishing, hiking, and all things outdoors.  He loved sports, especially playing basketball and tennis.  He also loved visiting Ocean Isle Beach. Colton was a ray of sunshine to all that knew him.

In addition to his parents Colton is survived by his brother, Joel Jett; grandparents, Ava Jean and Ronald G. Shell, Sr. of Weyers Cave, Virginia; aunt, Sheila Dove of Richmond, Virginia; and uncles, Nick Dove and Ronald Shell. Jr. of Weyers Cave, Virginia.

 A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Union Cross Park Picnic Shelter with Damon Huffman officiating. Please feel free to bring a ball and shoot some hoops in his memory. He would have loved that!
