Connie Diane (Newsome) Pennington

Mrs. Connie Diane Newsome Pennington, 61, of Lexington passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Connie was born July 29, 1964 in Guilford County to the late David Newsome and Diane Davis Newsome. She attended Mountain View Baptist Church which she loved dearly. She worked many years for Davidson County Schools in the cafeteria. Connie absolutely loved her dogs, enjoyed being outside, riding horses, but most of all hunting with her husband and son. She loved to spend time with family; she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving is her loving husband of 41 years, Darin Pennington of the home; son, Frank Pennington and wife Stacey; two sisters, Sherry Crawford and Christy Davis and husband Dale; she also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday, March 23, 2026 at 11:00 AM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Tim Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
