Coy L. King, 69, of Thomasville completed his battle and entered the presence of Jesus, Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
Coy was born January 16, 1957, son of the late Coy King and Betty Lunsford King Todd of Guilford County. He worked in the local area for many years as a bread truck driver and met many people during his career. He had a passion for cooking, enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his wife, and most of all reading God’s word. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Overall, he was a faithful servant of the Lord, serving in the local church singing, and showing the love of Jesus to his fellow man.
In addition to his parents, Coy was preceded in death by his son, Coy L. King, Jr.; two brothers, Charlie D. King and Rickey L. King.
Surviving are his loving wife of twelve years, Annette Craver King of the home; a daughter, Kelly Andrews (Michael) of Archdale; three step-sons, Jon Varner (Chessie) of Lexington, Josh Barrett (Erin) of Mocksville, Brandon Barrett (Amy) of Lexington; twelve grandchildren, Devin, Kamryn, Rylen, Cullen, Deek, Wyatt, Remi, Olivia, Hunter, Lilly, Journey, and Maddox; special friends, Isaac and Amanda Hammonds; nieces, nephews, extended family and church family.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Floyd Edwards and Pastor Keith Menius officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 11:30 to 12:30 PM at the funeral home and all other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 423 Cecil St, Thomasville, NC 27360.
