Crystal Robbins Obituary

Ms. Crystal DeGayia Robbins, 56, of Trinity, passed away on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023, at her home. She was born on March 25th, 1967 in High Point, North Carolina to Bobby Lawrence Robbins and Barbara Jaqueline Pope Robbins. She went to UNCG and GTCC where she graduated with degrees in accounting and paralegal technologies. She had a passion for and spent most of her adult life working in the trucking business in some shape or form, and most recently was an employee of Fortress Wood Products where she was their Logistics Manager for the last seven years.

She was known by her friends and loved ones as someone who was kind, sassy yet had the absolute sweetest soul, and a dear friend to many. Crystal had a gift of making people feel seen and heard, and like they had gained a friend for life once they got to know her. She enjoyed hanging out with her beloved friends and cherished the time she got to spend with them, no matter how long it had been since the last time she saw them. She loved reading, keeping up with current events, and politics. She also had a love of learning and was always trying to take in as much as she could about the world and different cultures around her. She was a die-hard fan of the UNC Tar-Heels and New Orleans Saints.

What she was most known for, and her proudest accomplishment in life was becoming a mother to her son Christian “Muffin” and a grandmother to Ezra “Noodle”. Anyone who knew her knew just how much she loved those two boys and how much they were her pride and joy. She always found a way to let everyone around her know they existed and how much she loved and was proud of them. She also loved her only daughter-in-law, Megan “Mrs. Muffin”, who she shared her shoe and purse addiction with and viewed more like a daughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving stepmother Edith Barbara Culp Robbins, who raised her for most of her life.

Surviving is her only son, Christian and wife Megan of Thomasville; one very special fur-son, Bleu Robbins; and her only grandson (and the light of her life), Ezra, known only to his Mimi as “Noodle”; sisters Cathy Goins and husband Jay of Trinity, & Brenda Modlin and husband Tom of Trinity; brothers Bobby Robbins Jr. of Layton, Utah, & Bill Wood Jr. and wife Debi of Myrtle Beach, SC: nieces Jordan Goins and Michelle (husband Courtney) Wheat; and great-niece Caitlyn.
