Dale Bowers Kennedy

Mr. Dale Bowers Kennedy, 88, of Thomasville, passed away on Friday morning, June 24, 2022, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

Dale was born July 29, 1933, to the late Bert Charles Kennedy and Ada Bowers Kennedy in Davidson County. He served his country in the United States Army. He married Mary Ruth Saintsing on March 26, 1960. Dale was a member of Emanuel Reformed Church in Thomasville and in recent years attended Hillside Park Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by an infant sister, Joyce W. Kennedy.

Surviving is his loving wife of 62 years, Ruth Saintsing Kennedy; a daughter, Vickie Mabe of Thomasville; a son, Daniel Kennedy and wife Melanie of Thomasville; a brother, Gary Barton Kennedy of Thomasville; four beloved granddaughters, Emily Mabe, Kristen Mabe, Rachel Kennedy Waddell and husband Austin, and Abigail Kennedy; and extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Emanuel Reformed Church in Thomasville with Reverend Ricky Payne officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be given to Emanuel Reformed Church or Hillside Park Baptist Church.
