Danny Ray Dowell

Danny Dowell, age 64, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 8, 2023 unexpectedly while at his home.  He was born on April 25, 1959 in Forsyth County to the late Ralph and Betty Jester Dowell.  Danny was retired from Triad Dodge and enjoying some of his favorite activities such as watching sports, fishing, vacationing, and eating out!  He loved people, good conversation, watching the birds feed, and playing with his pets, Gizzy the cat and Bailee the dog.  Danny’s most loved treasure was family, especially time spent with his granddaughters, Kennedy and Kensley.  He was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and currently attending Crossroads Baptist Church in Virginia, the church of his daughter and son-in-law. 

Surviving to remember and cherish his memory is his loving wife Debbie of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Heath Spivey of Stuarts Draft, Virginia; granddaughters, Kennedy Michelle Spivey and Kensley Ann Spivey; brother, Timmy Wayne Dowell and wife Kathy of Rockwell, NC; nephew, Dustin Dowell; and fur babies, Gizzy and Bailee.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at J.C. Green and Sons Wallburg Chapel with Pastor Heath Spivey officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Thursday prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
