Debra Lynn (Evans) Tysinger Obituary
Debra Lynn Evans Tysinger, 71, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center. Born on July 2, 1954, in Florence County, South Carolina, Debra was the daughter of the late Willard Evans and Golda Turner Evans. She spent many years working as a Surgical Technician in the operating room, where she touched countless lives through her hard work and caring spirit. She loved spending time working in her yard, fishing, caring for her beloved dogs, and most of all, being “Nana” to her cherished grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Mickey Evans and Bascom “Red” Evans.
Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband of 32 years, Terry Tysinger of the home; her son, Jamey Tysinger; her brother, Franz Evans; her grandchildren, Cole Tysinger and Carley Tysinger (Spencer); her sister-in-law, Judy Tysinger; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the J. C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville, with Rev. Rodney Burton officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared with the family at J. C. Green & Sons Funeral Home.
