Delita (Dee) Louean (Parsley) Lybrand

Mrs. Delita Louean “Dee” Parsley Lybrand, 75, of Wallburg passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at her home.  She was born on December 23, 1949, in Boone County West Virginia to the late Elbert and Anita Parsley. Dee spent much of her life in various credit and collections roles including time with the Lyon Mercantile Agency in High Point and Bank of America also in High Point.  Dee loved her church and her church family and cherished the relationships she cultivated over the years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melton Quimby “Mel” Lybrand, Jr.; three brothers, John, Kayo, and Paul Ray Parsley; and three sisters, Judy Hayes, Sandra Hix, and Susie Light.

Dee is survived by one brother, Mark Parsley of Columbus, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Mt. Pleasant Church in Thomasville (6516 Old Greensboro Road, Thomasville, NC 27360) with the Reverend Donnie Durham officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
