Mr. Donald Mitchell Gordon, 74, of Thomasville passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Donald was born January 4, 1947 to the late Lester Boley and Frances Alva Ward Gordon in Davidson County. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Donald worked in the furniture industry for many years at Dar-Ran and Steelcase of High Point. Also, he worked at “Kellys” gas station and NAPA in Thomasville. Donald loved his wife, children, and grandchildren very much.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence “Willard” Gordon. Surviving is his wife of 28 years, Mary Ann Martin Gordon of the home; six children, Wendi Gordon Johnson and husband Rick of Thomasville, Denise Lance and husband Allan of Trinity, Danny Dyer, Savannah Vernon, Haven Vernon, Alex Vernon, all of Thomasville; a brother, Alvin Gordon of Thomasville; four grandchildren, Haley Gordon, Tehya Dyer, Jace Ayscue, Kylie Lance; two great-grandchildren, Lilah Lance and Allison Wardlaw; extended family and friends.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 6-8 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons funeral home in Thomasville. A graveside service will be held on October 26, 2021 11 AM at Salisbury National Cemetery with Pastor Nick Childs officiating with military honors.
