Mrs. Doris Gillaspie Bradley, 74, of Craven Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Doris was born on April 2, 1946 to the late William Boyden Gillaspie and Willie Era Boger Gillaspie in Davie County, NC. She worked in the Thomasville area as a hairdresser for over 50 years, owning and operating Country Side Beauty Shop. Doris was a member of Central Wesleyan Church in Thomasville. Doris was known for growing beautiful flowers at her residence. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her grandson, Bryn Hicks; a sister, Corrina Williams; three brothers, Melvin, Johnny, and Terry Gillaspie. Surviving are her loving husband of 43 years, Robert Bradley of the home; three children, Michael Robertson and wife Belinda of Thomasville, Gina Hicks and husband Mark of Trinity, Robby Bradley of Thomasville; a brother, William Gillaspie and wife Rhonda of Thomasville; her twin sister, Dorothy Steen of King; four grandchildren, Jonathan, Charlotte, Brianna and husband Kevin, and Ellyson; five great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob, Alexis, Summer, and Camila.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 16, 2020 at Central Wesleyan Church in Thomasville with Rev. David Albertson officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. The family will greet friends Sunday night from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons funeral home in Thomasville.
