Mrs. Doris Fay Bassett Livengood, 91 passed away peacefully on Friday morning, March 20, 2020 surrounded by family. She was born in Forsyth County on September 21, 1928 a daughter of the late Will and Effie Williams Bassett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elery Douglas ‘Jim’ Livengood; sister, Joy Grandy; brother, Don Bassett; and son-in-law, Darrell Lee Weavil.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Judy Weavil of Winston-Salem; three grandsons, Brian Weavil and wife Emily, Shane Weavil and wife Jennifer, and Chris Weavil and wife Karen; and four grandchildren, Christian, Alli, Cameron, and Corbin Weavil.
A private family graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Ray Woodyard officiating.
